This program is fully subscribed and is unavailable until further notice. Please check this page periodically to see if further rebate funding becomes available.
Let the Co-op be your guide to solar hot water and receive rebates up to $1,500 on the installation of a qualified system. Solar water heating systems cost 50%-85% less to operate than traditional water heating and property owners who install solar systems can qualify for sizable tax credits. To begin your solar water heating conversion, call the Co-op at 1-800-698-2007, or download the program information and application at the right of this page.
What's a Solar Hot Water System?
A typical solar hot water system consists of two 4 ft. x 8 ft. solar panels, a solar storage tank, a heat exchanger and a domestic hot water tank. Most systems will be closed loop filled with glycol for year-round use. Systems are typically designed to meet no more than 80% of winter hot water needs so as to not overproduce hot water in the summer.
Marathon Water Heaters - the Perfect Complement
With its highest-rated energy efficiency and heat retention, the Marathon water heater makes an ideal storage tank for your solar hot water system. Marathon water heaters can be purchased directly from the Co-op at special members-only pricing.
